Dachshund - Pomeranian - Young - Male
Adoptable Small Spayed/NeuteredUp-to-date with routine shotshousetrained

Name: Gus
Age: 2 (2017)
Breed: Pomeranian/Dachshund mix
Temperament: Very shy at first, but friendly once he gets to know you.
Good with Dogs: Yes
Good with Cats: Unknown, can test for an approved applicant, but based on temperament, we believe he would be fine.
Good with Kids: Yes, but no small children. Small children would intimidate him.

Gus is extremely unsocialized, he came from a hoarding situation where he was never properly cared for and was in horrible condition. Gus has come out of his shell somewhat since we originally rescued him. He barks a lot around new people but just needs to find that someone that will give him a chance. If you are looking for a dog that will be all over you and shower you with immediate love, then Gus is not for you. He would be a great companion dog to another small dog. He is very much a pack animal and follows wherever the herd goes. He will be shy at first and will require TLC, time and patience. Your patience is key with this pup & will pay off with this sweet boy. Remember, he was failed by the human who had him. It is our goal to show him we are not here to hurt him, but to love him. His favorite thing is treats!
