Tank is a handsome hunk, who came to us after being discovered as an unclaimed stray by a local farmer. Tank has been treated for heartworms and has worked hard spending time learning how to be a dog. He tries very hard and is eager to please his human. Tank knows how to sit and wait on command. He walks well on a leash and rides well in a car. He does well in a fenced in area, and loves to socialize with people. He is big and sloppy, and a very good boy.

Tank is the kind of boy that needs a confident owner. Because of his shady, we assume horrible, past and the things he has had to learn with us, we think that he spent a lot of time without food, water, love, and guidance. As such, he is not a fan of sharing his food or toys, as he is scared someone will take them away from him. He doesn’t mean to be rude, but he will try and push boundaries if he isn’t given proper restrictions, thus the need for breed experience in his adoption. Tank has been working hard to gain weight since his bout with heartworms and being dumped. He is still in need of gaining more weight and is continuing to work on this while he waits for his forever family to find him. If Tank finds a compatible dog friend, he must be fed separately from the other dog in the home. Tank is a good boy, he just needs guidance to be the best boy he can be in your particularly lifestyle. Interested in Tank? Check out our application below!
