Adoptable Large Spayed/NeuteredUp-to-date with routine shotshousetrained

This butterball of love is all ready for her forever and ever home!

Name: Genesis
Sex: Female
Breed: American Boxer
Age: Approximately 10 years as of February 2019
Good with Dogs: Yes, though no small dogs.
Good with Cats: Yes
Kids: Yes. Genesis LOVES children of all ages!
Heartworm Status: Positive. Due to her age and somewhat compromised immune system, we feel it is risky to put Genesis through heartworm treatment and are opting for the “slow kill” method.

Genesis is nothing but solid love in a goofy, awkward footed, happy-go-lucky 65 pound butterball of happiness. She is every bit as wonderful to hug as she looks, and is nothing but a huge sponge of love and kisses! Genesis lost her family the week before Christmas in December of 2018 when her family went through a divorce. She has been heartbroken, and doesn’t understand why the kids that she loves so much haven’t come back for her. She is the epitome of compassionate, eager-to-please love. She would be perfect as a kind of therapy dog for older, younger, and every age in between people, and a best friend to anyone that extends the hand of friendship to her. Genesis is wonderful! She loves hugs, but most of all she really love bellyrubs. She immediately falls to the floor when you offer and starts to roll around, asking for you to continue, much to our amusement.

Genesis is crate trained and loves everyone that she meets, whether they are canine or human. We believe she has lived with cats before, but we would be willing to test this again if needed. However, we do think she would be fine with them. She walks great on a leash and listens well to her humans. She wants nothing more than to love, please, and be loved in returned.

As mentioned, Genesis has a somewhat compromised immune system because she has skin cancer on her belly. It has been removed to give her some comfort. The cancer also accounts for the spots on her face. They do not seem to bother her on a day-to-day basis. Please consider opening your heart and home to this perfect girl! Somewhat older does not mean that there is no love left to give.

Peach County Animal Rescue is a rescue located in Fort Valley, GA. Our adoption fees range from $175-350+. On average, our fees are $250.
Although our rescue dogs share a common bond with one another, no rescue story is the same (even when similar). Vetting costs vary depending on their health conditions. Our calculations show, that if you included the 1st year of vetting, training, the cost of a purchased dog; your costs would exceed $500+ dollars for initial investment. For us, it is NEVER about the money. We are a NON-PROFIT. It is all about the well-being of the dog. If you can’t make the initial investment and appreciate the value of one of our dogs…then we can’t ensure that you are committed to the pet for it’s LIFETIME and will give them to best quality of life. At the end of the day, we hope everyone can appreciate that our efforts, time and commitment is solely in the best interest of our beloved dogs to ensure they are NEVER FAILED again. Thank you for your love and support! All of our dogs are fully vetted: up-to-date on annual shots, spayed/neutered and microchipped with a lifetime registration. We look forward to hearing from you!
